Alien birthday card with a story inside: a funny alien birthday card from a visitor who came for research and stayed for cake.

This hand-illustrated birthday card is part of my old-school character collection. Inside is a fully printed birthday letter written in the voice of the alien — funny, warm and surprisingly moving: the kind of card people keep.

On the front: “Happy Birthday — Of all the planets I could have landed on, I’m glad I picked yours.”

Signed inside: “Came for research. Stayed for cake. Parking ticket pending.”

A perfect gift for

  • Lovers of unusual, illustrated birthday cards
  • Sci-fi and UFO fans
  • Wonderfully strange friends
  • Space lovers
