Balloonist birthday card with a story inside: a vintage hot-air-balloon birthday card from somewhere above the clouds.
This hand-illustrated birthday card is part of my old-school character collection. Inside is a fully printed birthday letter written in the voice of the balloonist — funny, warm and surprisingly moving: the kind of card people keep.
On the front: “Happy Birthday — A little adventure, a lovely view, and you for company. What more could I wish for?”
Signed inside: “Head in the clouds. Heart in the right place. Scarf, unfortunately, now in Belgium.”
A perfect gift for
- Lovers of unusual, illustrated birthday cards
- Travellers and dreamers
- Hot air balloon fans
- The best person to share a view with
